Here's a selection of my animation work from the Lego Jurassic World TV series during my first job at Atomic! Some of these shots I worked on the layout / camera as well. This show was sick, the characters hilarious and a wonderful addition into JW lore.
'Fate' Short Film
This is my first ever short film created while studying 3D Animation at Vancouver Film School, I hope you enjoy!
'Fate’ is about a girl who wants to find her soulmate but doesn’t know how; when the
string on her finger pulls her – her journey for love finally begins. My goal with this story was to create an endearing and heart warming tale without a cliché ending that really resonates with me personally. I faced many challenges with bringing my story to life, from simulations to a variety of different forms of animation – however the experience pushed my skills and creativity further to get my desired results.
Industry Cut
Here we have the Industry Cut of my short film 'Fate' with an added lip sync. I want to showcase my best work in the film; displaying various acting and body mechanics and even ( as challenging as it was) string simulations. The full film will be coming soon!
'50 Lions' - Parks and Recreation Lip Sync
My first lip sync! There's still some things I need to tweak so I will be updating it in the future.
Term 4 Animation
Here we focused a lot more in refining the basics we had learnt in previous terms. Gear change, a open box reaction, new lamp jump and walk / run cycles and a weight lift are a few examples.
Term 3 Animation
This term we tried our hand at game animation. There's a lot of need for improvement in these, however it was interesting to try something new.
Term 2 Animation
Here I began to work with rigs and how they moved. In this term we focused on cycles; running and walking and then ending with a ball throw to get weight in movement. These are my first ever times working with a rig, and its interesting to see how much I've changed since then!
Term 1 Animation
A highlight of my first ever animations done using Maya. Throughout the first term of my studies we focused on the basic principles of animation and worked on many 'bouncing balls' and how to make things come to life with personality.
